I began writing The Girl Before the Tides by returning to the places and experiences that shaped the little girl I once was. But as one story led to another, I realized this wasn’t simply a story about childhood.
It’s the story of a life.
Told across a series of books, The Girl Before the Tides follows the people, places, choices, love, loss, laughter, and unexpected turns that shaped the woman I became—and the moments I understand differently now that I’m looking back.
The story begins in Oregon, but it doesn’t end there.
